Supervision details
Aim of Art Therapy supervision sessions: The aim of supervision is to provide you, the supervisee, with a confidential, safe space to explore the support you are providing through art therapy with your client group and should increase your awareness of what is happening in the therapeutic process. The aim of clinical supervision is to provide a safe and confidential space to help contain and reflect upon the Therapeutic work undertaken. Supervision provides a frame for the safe exploration of relational dynamics, transference, and the counter- transference relationship. This process is enabled by establishing a safe relationship between supervisor and supervisee whereby material can be viewed through a multitude of lenses and build a bridge between theory and practice. Supervision is a safe space without judgment to help develop your therapeutic practice.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
