Supervision details
Supervision with me is about genuine support - for the challenging moments, the successes, and everything in between. You don't need to have all the answers or be perfect. What you do need is a space where you can be honest about what's difficult - whether that's managing risk, navigating complex client situations, or simply feeling stuck - celebrate what's going well, and develop your clinical thinking. That's what I'm here for.
My priority is that you feel genuinely supported in supervision. We're all human, and supervision works best when we can be real with each other.
Meeting you where you are
I adapt supervision to your experience level and specific needs. As a counselling tutor myself, I know exactly what it's like to be a trainee - the juggling act of life, placement demands, your training provider's requirements, and client work. I'm familiar with the admin side of training too, so I understand those competing pressures from both sides. If you're newly qualified and building your practice, developing a niche, or working to apply theory confidently with clients - we can focus there. You might be looking for validation, future-focused support, or help with specific clinical challenges. Whatever you need, we'll work with that.
How we'll work together
I bring energy and authenticity to supervision. I genuinely enjoy sharing knowledge and experience, but more importantly, I make sure you're actively part of the process - not just receiving advice, but developing your own clinical thinking.
I work with several supervision models including the Group Alliance model and Seven-Eyed model, adapting to what serves you best. We might contract for developing your process skills, conceptualisation, or personalisation skills - or a combination. The approach flexes to support your growth.
I provide direct, constructive feedback alongside encouragement. You'll know what you're doing well and where there's room to develop, with specific suggestions rather than vague observations.
Practical details
Most supervisees meet for 90 minutes monthly. I'm happy to be your main supervisor or provide additional supervision - for example, if you want to develop your knowledge of Transactional Analysis or another specific approach. I offer 1-hour, 1.5-hour, and 2-hour sessions.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
