Supervision details
As a humanistic supervisor for counsellors, my work is grounded in a deep commitment to supporting you in your client work to foster reflective growth. I draw upon the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, which provides a rich, systemic framework for exploring the therapeutic process from multiple perspectives. This model allows me to support supervisees in examining not only their interventions and client dynamics, but also the relational and contextual factors that influence their work.
I provide individual supervision tailored to each counsellor’s developmental stage, helping them build confidence, clinical insight, and resilience. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, encouraging openness, curiosity, and critical reflection. I also facilitate group supervision sessions, creating a safe and dynamic space for shared learning, peer support, and the exploration of diverse clinical experiences. These sessions often foster a strong sense of professional community and mutual growth.
In addition to supervision, I am actively involved in training counsellors, delivering workshops and structured learning experiences that cover core competencies, ethical decision-making, and advanced therapeutic skills. I integrate theory with practice, ensuring that trainees not only understand key concepts but also feel equipped to apply them in real-world settings.
My role as a supervisor is both a privilege and a responsibility. I strive to model integrity, compassion, and reflective practice, supporting counsellors in becoming ethically grounded, self-aware, and effective practitioners. Whether in one-to-one or group settings, my aim is to nurture professional excellence and emotional wellbeing in those I supervise.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
