Supervision details

I am  a person-centred therapist who is passionate about supporting my counselling clients through their journeys of self-discovery, self-care and change and have appreciated the value of good, supportive and encouraging supervision alongside my work. While holding your clients' clinical safety at the heart of our supervision sessions, as your supervisor I hope to be able to:

* provide guidance in setting up a private practice,

* help you to uncover any developmental needs you may have as a counsellor and signpost CPD,

* offer valuable insights and different perspectives on your clients and your work with them,

* encouraged you to develop your own internal supervisor,

* offer gentle challenge, to encourage more deeper self-reflection and understanding of yourself and your process,

* Support you in developing self-care to prevent burnout.

I have been blessed with supervisors who I felt have seen me as a whole person, not just as a counselling supervisee. This is how I hope to support my supervisees with the aid of my training in the Seven-eyed model of supervision. My counselling journey has helped me to uncover my own neurodiversity - ADHD and I am passionate about supporting clients and fellow counsellors who like me feel they are a little quirky!

I offer a reduced fee for trainee counsellors because I appreciate how expensive the training can be.

Please get in touch for a chat to see if we might be a good fit, and to discuss your supervision needs as I may be able to offer time slots outside of my regular listed hours.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
