Supervision details
I'm Sarah. I'm a friendly, down to earth therapist and supervisor who lives and works in Greater Manchester. My therapeutic style is collaborative, engaging and accessible. I call a spade a spade and enjoy taking a curious, creative and practical approach to problem solving.
As a counselling supervisor, my style is candid, authentic and curious. I strive to compassionately bring attention to areas for growth and improvement through thoughtful observation. I bring extensive experience in managing high-risk situations and employ a thorough, safeguarding-informed approach. My goal is to assist you in reestablishing a connection with your innate resilience, intuition and expertise as you work with your clients.
I consider the work I do to be a great privilege and I strive to be the very best I can be for the people I support, and to bring that out in my supervisees. In my opinion, a supervisor should be someone who not only empowers you but also ignites a spark of inspiration for the unusual and special work we do.
Training, qualifications & experience:
I bring extensive experience in the mental health sector, including work in enduring mental health needs services, EAPs, and private practice. Holding a Master's degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, along with accreditation in Supervision, I have also served as a safeguarding lead for an EAP company.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
