Supervision details
I offer person-centred supervision to qualifed and trainee
counsellors, available either face-to face in Edinburgh or online,
depending on what works best for you.
As a supervisor I offer a warm, grounded space where you feel
safe to reflect honestly on your counselling practice.
In our first session we will focus on getting to know each other
and setting up collaboratively a clear supervisory contract to
guide our work together- outlining how we will work, what you
hope to gain, and what you need from supervision to feel
supported and resourced.
As a supervisor, I would want us to work together in a supportive
and reflective manner, while still holding the structure and focus
needed to explore your work in depth. Hoping that you’ll feel
encouraged to bring your whole self-your questions, challenges,
joys and doubts-into the room
We’ll explore what is going well in your practice, what might feel
stuck or uncertain, and how you’re experiencing yourself as a
practitioner. For me, supervision is not just about supporting your
work with clients, but also helping you to grow in confidence ,
clarity and self-awareness as a counsellor.
I am also a person-centred counsellor with experience working with
adults and young people in my private practice. I’ve worked
as a school counsellor in secondary education, and I continue to
draw on this experience in my work with young people today.
If you ‘d like to explore working together, I’d love to hear from you.
You are welcome to get in touch with any questions or to arrange
an initial session.
My fee is £60 per one hour session.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
