Supervision details
I am trained in Generic Supervision Competences for Psychological Therapies and Interventions through NHS Education for Scotland. I have other supervision training for staff and volunteers through my previous work career.
My aim is to promote your development, reflect on your experience, and to help you notice the impact of the work you do.
My practice is particularly informed by Kolb's Experiential Learning Cycle and Hawkins and Shohet's Seven Eyed Model.
My main therapeutic orientations are :
Person Centred Therapy.
I have undertaken COSCA validated Counselling Skills Training. I spent two years training and primarily using this approach during my Counselling Psychology doctorate. This is my underlying theoretical orientation.
Compassion Focussed Therapy
I have undertaken university modules as part of my Doctorate, and further training in CFT via the Compassionate Mind Foundation (Introduction to Theory and Practice of CFT, CFT and the Therapeutic Relationship). I have worked using elements of this approach for four years, and been supervised for this.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
I have undertaken university modules in ACT as part of my doctorate. I have used elements of this approach for 3 years primarily in settings related to health conditions (including alcohol problems, people with epilepsy and people with cancer.)
Supervision sessions are charged at the rate of £65 per session.
