Pluralistic Clinical Supervision with Susanne
Hello and welcome, thank you for visiting. My name is Susanne, and I am an experienced Pluralistic Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Suicide Prevention and Safety Plan (SIPP) Trainer. I combine Breathwork, Somatic practices, and Mindfulness in my work, offering tools to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and holistic wellbeing
I trained in the Pluralistic and Integrative approach, which is grounded in humanistic, person-centred, holistic, and collaborative values. This means I tailor supervision to your needs— respecting your unique way of working while supporting you to reflect, grow, and develop your professional identity. The pluralistic philosophy is an ethical one: to value diversity, collaboration, and the belief that there are many paths to healing. I bring this ethos to every supervision relationship.
My background includes many years working in the third sector with front-line trauma services, specialising in trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, and C-PTSD. I also have extensive experience within educational settings, providing counselling to university and college students, as well as working with adults and young people in both short-term and open-ended frameworks. Alongside my private practice, I work online using secure and accessible platforms such as Zoom.
I am a Registered Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), on the Accredited Register of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and hold Senior Clinical Supervisor membership with ACTO, the professional body for online therapy provision. I work within clear ethical frameworks, ensuring that our supervision together remains safe, reflective, and informed by current legislation and research.
At the heart of my practice is a deep commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion. I welcome and work affirmatively with supervisees and clients from all cultural backgrounds, genders, identities, and belief systems. I believe that meaningful supervision recognises and honours the broader social and systemic contexts that shape both our practice and our wellbeing.
In supervision, my aim is to offer a warm, reflective, and empowering space where you can:
Explore your client work with openness, honesty, and curiosity
Develop confidence in your professional voice and direction
Identify your niche areas of interest or specialism
Consider CPD routes and pathways for further training and professional growth
Strengthen your resilience, self-awareness, and self-care in the face of challenging work
My supervision style balances support and gentle challenge, always holding your wellbeing and ethical practice at the centre.
Appointments are available daytime, and evenings were applicable. I will do my best to accommodate your schedule. Sessions are available online via secure Zoom.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
