Supervisor

Supervision details

I am currently with Langley Training studying for my Level 7 Clinical Supervision, accredited by the CPCAB. As such I am able to offer low cost supervision for this 25/26 academic year. I offer a brief, free, phone consultation. Please get in touch to discuss your needs and expectations.

In my private practice, including 5 years within a pupil referral unit my experience is with clients from 11yrs up to all Adults.

Much of my work is non specific as I have found many of my clients bring a wide range of concerns, where my Integrative practice model has grown to encompass all issues that come with ADHD and ASD, and so understand and work with many of the related co-morbidities. These can include, not limited to, addiction, bereavement, anxiety, anger, identity, sensory and, or food issues, through to chronic health conditions, and dysfunctional family trauma. To add, I also work within a group of therapists and coaches set up for those diagnosed/undiagnosed with ADHD and ASD.

As well as working with individual clients, I also work a lot with couples, relationships, and adult families.

I offer both individual and group supervision.

My back ground has encompassed managing teams and staff in charities as well as the private sector. My volunteering is and has been with youth groups where I maintain my training with safeguarding and hold an Enhanced DBS.  I was also a fully trained Samaritan Listening Volunteer for 5 years, prior to my counselling training, and part of my local branch's Schools Team visiting primary schools, where we gave talks or ran assemblies to encourage 'it's good to talk'.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
