Supervision details

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist and supervisor, offering clinical supervision to therapists seeking professional growth and deeper insight into their practice. With a BSc in Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London, and an MA in Counselling from Goldsmiths, I bring a strong academic foundation to my work. My foundation and post-foundation years at the Institute of Psychoanalysis provided a wealth of resources in terms of theory and technique.

As a registered member of BACP and BPS, I provide a reflective and supportive supervisory space, helping therapists explore clinical challenges, countertransference, and theoretical frameworks. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic principles, emphasizing self-awareness, ethical practice, and the therapeutic relationship. My focus is on psychoanalytic theory and technique, using Freud, Klein, Winnicott, Bion, Green, Lemma, Rosenfeld, and others.

I have extensive experience supervising practitioners working with anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and diverse client backgrounds, including LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and differently-abled individuals. I also engage in ongoing psychoanalytic seminars and supervision to ensure continued development.

During our supervision together, we would explore transference and countertransference relationships, defenses, dreams, and bodily sensations. We would discuss technique and theory, and I would strive to provide you with material and case studies relevant to your clinical challenges. The most important point to highlight is that our relationship will be essential in supporting your relationship with your patients and that the space I strive to provide will always be non-judgmental.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
