Supervision details
'Hi, I'm Jo'
Whether you're in current training, practice or returning to practice, it's important to find a supervisor who is not only a 'good fit' but that also offers you sufficient support, with sufficient challenge.
I’m a psychotherapist in private practice (almost 7 years) and an EMDR therapist for 3 years, so bring a breadth and depth of experience to our relationship. I’m Humanistic in my philosophical orientation and hold a trauma-informed lens - I'm heavily influenced by Gestalt, person-centred, creative experimentation yet fundamentally believe that an authentic relationship is the container for any therapeutic work, whether short or longer term.
I started my private practice from the ground up and have had a full practice for 6 years so I know what it’s like at the beginning too! Worrying if I'd have enough clients, whether I was being a 'good' therapist and how on earth do I market myself?! And then, what does a sustainable practice look like for me? You can hear a little more about how I run my own private practice in the podcast below: The Healthy Practice Podcast, ‘What I’d tell my start up self’
'I believe supervision is a balance between you as a practitioner, a business owner and a person.'
As I’m completing my diploma in supervision with the Gestalt Centre, I’m looking for supervisees who can make a minimum of 6 month commitment. Additionally, my reduced fee structure is as follows during the completion of my diploma:
First 3 months (weekly) - Free
3 -6 months (weekly) - £35 per session
Supervision takes place in-person at my office on Grand Parade or online (by arrangement) - this includes group supervision.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to welcoming you into the space.
Warmly,
Jo
