Supervision details
I believe supervision is about relationship first and I offer warmth and friendliness to start building a strong working alliance between us. My aim is to create a strong and trusting relationship between supervisor and supervisee so that together we can bring about personal growth therefore providing the best for your clients who will be at the heart of our work together. As a qualified supervisor I can offer you a space to explore your client work but also to support your well being as in order to be able to be open hearted with our clients we need to nurture our own being. Collaboration is key and alongside that I can offer you space for growth and learning, creativity, humour, diversity and autonomy. I have experienced supervision that has offered all of those qualities and I wish to offer others the same as everyone deserves supervision that can hold you but also challenge you. I am an integrative therapist and I work to the BACP Ethical Framework and I will use this framework alongside you to keep you and your clients safe and work to high ethical and professional standards. My experience includes working with young people and adults in private practice as well as with adults within a specialist sexual abuse trauma charity and I have had many years of experience within school and college settings. My fees are: £50 for 1 hour / £75 for 1.5 hours. I offer an introductory session of 1 hour for £25 so we can meet and both decide if I can offer you the supervision you are looking for. *Advanced Diploma in Counselling Supervision (NCP Accredited)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
