Supervision details
I have experience supervising Trainee Clinical Psychologists and Trainee Counselling Psychologists, gained primarily during my time working in the NHS.
My supervision style is collaborative, supportive and reflective, informed by the therapeutic approaches I use in my clinical practice, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches.
I aim to provide a space where supervisees can reflect openly on their clinical work, consider different perspectives, develop their therapeutic skills and build confidence in their professional practice.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
