Supervision details
I offer supervision to trainee counsellors, qualified counsellors, and to other professionals who may benefit from reflective practice and support in managing the emotional and professional demands of their roles such as social workers, teachers, lawyers and mental health first aiders.
At the core of my supervision philosophy is the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. As an integrative supervisor I therefore tailor each session to meet the individual needs of my supervisees. Whether you're a trainee or an experienced therapist, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can openly reflect on your work, explore challenges, and develop your skills in a way that best serves your clients.
My philosophy of supervision has also been shaped by my experience as a counsellor. I am an Accredited Registered Member of BACP and work within their Ethical Framework. I am an integrative counsellor and have over 10 years of experience gained from working in my own private practice, the NHS and as an Adoption Support Counsellor for a charitable organisation. I am also an affiliate counsellor for a number of Employee Assistance Programmes. I therefore understand how different organisational demands shape supervision needs.
This is one of the reasons that I am particularly drawn to the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision, which allows for a flexible and holistic approach. This model focuses not just on the supervisee and their client work, but also on the relational dynamics, personal processes, and wider contextual factors that influence therapeutic practice. It provides a broad and integrative framework that can adapt to various counselling modalities, from psychodynamic to CBT, and can evolve as you progress in your professional journey.
Supervision with me is not just about compliance or meeting ethical requirements; it’s about fostering growth, reflective practice, and personal development. I aim to create a space that helps you replenish your resources, reflect deeply on your work, and ultimately thrive in your practice. I believe that supervision is a collaborative process, one that grows and transforms as we do, and I look forward to working together to help you and your clients thrive.
I provide both individual supervision and group supervision either face-to-face or via Zoom.
If you would like more information, I offer a free initial 30 minute call/Zoom to explore whether I am the right supervisor for you.
Supervision sessions are then £50 for 60 minutes and £70 for 90 minutes.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
