Supervision details

As a qualified Supervisor, I aim to work collaboratively with you and offer you the space to reflect on your counselling practice, facilitate your ongoing professional learning, growth and development, and support your professional and personal wellbeing for the benefit of your clients. Regular Supervision is also a key requirement of being a member of a professional body, and therefore ensures that you are able to maintain a professional and ethical approach to your practice.I have been practising as an Integrative Counsellor since 2010. I have worked both in private practice and as a Primary Care Counsellor at 3 GP practices in Devon.  Prior to training as a Counsellor, I worked for many years as an Approved Social Worker within the field of mental health.  Within that role, I also supervised other members of my team.  I hold a professional Diploma in Supervision, so I bring my experience as a Counsellor and Supervisor,  while you bring your own expertise and knowledge, so that together we can create a supportive and stimulating space to facilitate your learning. If you are a practising Counsellor/Therapist, a trainee Counsellor/Therapist, or work in other caring professions, and would like to discuss Supervision with me, please contact me on joannaflint68@gmail.com, or 07704249672.  My fees for Supervision are:  £50 for 1 hour, £75 for 1.5 hours.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
