Supervision details
SUPERVISION Group as well as individual supervision is available. Individual supervision requirements can be discussed. I am a UKCP integrative registered supervisor as well as a recommended supervisor by the Metanoia Institute. I enjoy supervision, bringing theory to life and supporting psychotherapists and other professionals fulfil their potential.STUDY/BOOK GROUPS I run several study groups for both qualified therapists and counsellors as well as those still training. These groups offer a supportive, creative and lively forum for learning. This aspect of my practice stemmed from my own participation in a study group. Attendance of these groups can be counted as CPD (continuing professional development) “The support and insight of others has been the most exciting, valuable and creative learning experience. Seeing what others see in the text and theory that I have missed and sharing my own insights has been invaluable in my personal and professional growth as well as a great deal of fun. Theory and ideas are brought to life and become meaningful.”
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
