  • >Supervisor Mike Diss

I hold a diploma counselling/psychotherapy supervision.  I have broad experience as a supervisor, running two groups a week at ELMS (East London Mental Health Support) in Waltham Forest where I supervise 15-20 counsellors and therapists, as well as providing supervision privately on a one-to-one basis and on a regular basis at an NHS bereavement service.

My training background is in integrative psychosynthesis, drawing on a range of approaches including Jungian analysis and psychodynamic, Gestalt and broadly humanistic orientations within a transpersonal context.  I'm experienced in working with supervisees with a wide variety of orientations, but would want to discuss this with you at an introductory meeting to be sure we both feel happy at working together.

As a supervisor, I also draw on my previous experience as a tutor, my passion for therapy and my conviction that we are all - your clients, you and I - in a constant state of learning, growth and change.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
