About me

It can be daunting to begin therapy so it’s important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with. I am a psychodynamic practitioner offering both face to face sessions (in Beaconsfield on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings) and remote work via zoom on Mondays and Fridays.

The therapeutic relationship is unlike those we experience in every day life.  However, it can provide an opportunity to step back from expectations into a non judgmental, empathetic and reflective space where you can feel listened to and truly heard.

Therapy can be beneficial at any phase of life to better understand ourselves, think more deeply about our behavioral patterns and relationships and to experience a safe place for honest expression.

You may be troubled by a specific issue or symptom, a past trauma or struggling with a current event; therapy can provide a space and time which is purely yours to examine your thoughts and feelings.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a psychodynamic practitioner with a working background in the NHS.

  • First Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology
  • Graduate Certificate in Psychodynamic Practice
  • MSc Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy

I have experience working with eating disorders, abuse, bereavement, trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, addiction, issues surround identity, gender and sexuality and relationship problems.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
