About us

West London Centre for Counselling (WLCC) has been supporting local people for over 30 years, providing accessible, high-quality counselling to individuals experiencing emotional and mental health challenges.

Our Low-Cost Counselling Service offers affordable, longer-term therapy for adults aged 18+ who may not be able to access or afford private counselling. Sessions are delivered in person at our West London centre by trainee counsellors who are fully supported and clinically supervised by experienced practitioners.

The service offers:

  • Counselling sessions at £30 per session
Up to 24 sessions, with flexibility to extend where appropriate
  • A safe, confidential, and inclusive therapeutic space
  • Support tailored to individual needs

WLCC is committed to providing compassionate, professional support and improving access to mental health services within the local community.

Training, qualifications & experience

Our Low-Cost Counselling Service is delivered by trainee counsellors undertaking recognised professional counselling and psychotherapy training programmes. All counsellors are carefully selected and work within the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Trainees receive regular clinical supervision and are fully supported by experienced, qualified practitioners and the wider WLCC clinical team. WLCC is a BACP-accredited organisation with extensive experience delivering counselling services across West London.

Our team has experience supporting adults with a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, and life transitions.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
