About me
Having been qualified as a therapist for over thirty years, I am passionate about the therapy service I offer. I can work face to face or remotely if you prefer. I specialise in supporting people with anxiety, depression, stress or trauma. I have worked with thousands of people over the years and believe passionately in the service I can offer. Ensuring that I treat everyone as an individual who has unique problems and need an individual plan to help you to overcome your problems.
I am aware of the cost of individual therapy so I have a special offer of accessing live group coaching that will help you to achieve results at a fraction of the cost of individual therapy. If you want further details, please e mail or phone me to see how this works.
The groups that I am currently running a Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy skills (CBT).
Compassion Focussed Therapy was initially devised by Paul Gilbert OBE. It is particularly useful for stress, anxiety and if your are your worse critic. The approach combines neuroscience, CBT techniques and how to be kinder to yourself and to have more courage.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy skills focusses on the links between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It can help you to overcome distressing thoughts and feelings and to work on reducing unhelpful behaviours. The course teaches you practical skills which, if you were to see an individual therapist would cost you £250 more each month compared to attending a course. CBT is an evidence based therapy which means there is a lot research into how effective it is.
