Accredited BABCP CBT Therapist, Accredited in EMDR, ACT, CFT

About me

Having been qualified as a therapist for over thirty-five years, I am passionate about the therapy service I offer. I can work face-to-face or remotely if you prefer. I specialise in supporting people with anxiety, depression, stress, or trauma, including complex trauma. I have worked with thousands of people over the years and believe passionately in the service I offer. I ensure that I treat everyone as an individual who has unique problems and needs an individual plan to help you to overcome your problems and challenges.

In addition, I am an accredited EMDR therapist and specialise in trauma-based problems and anxiety. Having used EMDR for over ten years, the experience in the therapy session can be a transformational experience. Please contact me if you want more details.

I am aware of the cost of individual therapy, so I have developed some online resources based on the knowledge and skills I have developed over thirty years. The courses are short, easy to follow, practical suggestions, and designed from 12 years to adults. They have hours of content helping you to build your skills.

Why not try a one-day intensive? The benefits of this are that you can make rapid progress in your journey in one day. There is a structure to the day where you go through an assessment of your current problem, effective coping strategies, and techniques to better manage your symptoms. If you are really suffering and want quicker results, this is the solution for you. You will also have a strategy on how to maintain your mental health in the future. There is also an opportunity to work on trauma symptoms if needed. You can also have individual recordings of strategies to help you to maintain your progress. Please email me at wendy.castelino@gmail.com if this is something you are interested in.

I am trained in CBT but also therapies such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and EMDR (which is a therapy specifically designed for trauma).

Compassion Focused Therapy was initially devised by Paul Gilbert OBE. It is particularly useful for stress, anxiety, and if your are your worst critic. The approach combines neuroscience, CBT techniques, and how to be kinder to yourself and to have more courage.

I specialise in overcoming Anxiety, Depression, trauma, and building your self-confidence and resilience in overcoming challenges. You can email me to arrange an informal conversation to see if you would like to work with me.
