About me

As a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions and challenges at your own pace.

I hold a diploma in Integrative Counselling, a degree in Nutritional Therapy, and a Post-Qualifying Diploma in Eating Disorders. I have a particular interest in supporting clients with disordered eating and eating disorders, including emotional eating, binge eating and chronic dieting. I also work with families, carers and loved ones affected by eating disorders.

By gently exploring both the emotional and practical aspects of your relationship with food, I aim to support you in developing a more balanced, compassionate and sustainable sense of wellbeing.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties and low self-esteem, including Counselling for Depression within NHS Talking Therapies. My integrative approach draws on person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT models, and is tailored to your individual needs. I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, in person and online.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have extensive experience in mental health support, having worked with a mental health charity to guide individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, low mood, low self-esteem, anger and other emotional difficulties. Additionally, I have provided counselling services at a cancer support centre, helping individuals and their families navigate the psychological and emotional challenges of a cancer diagnosis and treatment journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
