About me

I am an experienced therapist who specialises in helping individuals overcome anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. With a deep understanding of the complexities of these conditions, I am committed to working through them with you.

Having worked extensively with both adults and young people, I recognise the unique needs and dynamics present in each stage of life.

By collaboratively identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviours, I empower my clients to develop practical skills and coping strategies to manage low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, grief and other mental health concerns.

I believe in the importance of building a strong relationship with you based on trust, respect, and empathy. Each individual is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and goals. I strive to create a nurturing and non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

If you're seeking support on your journey towards mental wellness, I'm here to help. Together, we can work towards building resilience, fostering self-awareness, and creating positive change.

Please feel free to reach out, I would be happy to have a chat or answer any questions you may have.

Please note that my enquiries are kindly managed by the Business Manager at MAC Counselling. When getting in touch, it would be really helpful if you could address your enquiry to Viji, so they know you are hoping to connect with me.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
