About me
Hello there! If you are in need of counselling to help you understand past traumas, discuss your current life-situation, develop coping strategies for a better tomorrow, or just need a friendly ear to listen to you, then look no further. I am a friendly, approachable, and flexible counsellor with over 30 years of experience in mental health.
I help clients explore and process their experiences, including past traumas, building self-awareness and empowering them to develop their own coping strategies. I bring a naturally caring, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to my work, drawing on a person-centred, psychodynamic, and integrated approach to meet each client’s unique needs.
Take a look at previous feedback I have received:
“I was a little apprehensive initially… however, it turned out to be an absolute godsend”
“Your kindness and support have been absolutely invaluable”
“You have asked the right questions to unearth some deep rooted pain that perhaps also needs to be addressed, which in turn has put me on the right path to tackle and understand my ongoing mental health issues”
I work with clients using a range of interventions, adapting counselling tools to suit online platforms such as Zoom, Teams, face-to-face, as well as telephone sessions. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their emotions, thoughts, and feelings.
Additionally, I offer psycho-education on mental health and trauma, providing clients with information, materials, and practical guidance on coping strategies, grounding techniques, relaxation methods, and self-care practices.
Training, qualifications & experience

Complimentary Therapies (REIKI Level 2) Private study, Dubai, UAE.
My extensive experience in mental health has shown me that truly listening can transform lives. This insight inspired me to qualify as a counsellor so I could support clients in addressing the root causes of their mental health challenges.
Since 2018, I have been volunteering with a UK-based bereavement charity, providing support to individuals coping with grief and loss. Recently, I have extended my offering with client assessments in addition to counselling.
In my previous role at a hospice, I provided emotional support to carers and individuals navigating the challenges of end-of-life diagnoses. This work deepens my understanding of how to offer compassion and support tailored to those facing complex emotional and mental health challenges.
I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their feelings and work towards greater emotional well-being.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
