Hi, I'm Tony Matthews, the lead therapist and Director of Toad Counselling. Our team is made up of caring and qualified therapists who specialise in working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. We have expertise in supporting clients with various life challenges, including mental health concerns, relationship issues, family dynamics, and career transitions.
At Toad Counselling, we provide a safe and empathetic space for our clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. Our team of therapists utilises evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients' personal growth and well-being. Additionally, we have a team of compassionate student therapists who offer low-cost counselling services to those in need.

Toad Counselling Ltd offers a low cost counselling services as well where students on there final years of qualification require 100hrs of working with clients to complete their Level 4 Diploma and qualify as a Counsellor.
Sessions with our Student Counsellors are £25 per 60 minute session.

Online Video & Telephone Counselling
The above fees are required to be paid within an hour before any online or telephone appointment. Unfortunately, if the fee is not received within the hour leading up to the appointment, the session will not go ahead, and an invoice will be emailed to the client as an unattended appointment.
Military/Veterans & Emergency Services
All Military/Veterans & Emergency services personnel are discounted 10% £60 or above of the 1:1 session fees, including couples counselling via proof of ID or service discount cards please visit website for more details.

North Devon Military Veterans Mental Health & Peer Support
Toad Counselling is near the Quay allowing easy bus/taxi use, and local car parking. Refreshments (wets/brew kit) will be available, any donations welcomed.
In conjunction to the face to face group, there is a dedicated Facebook Page and a private Facebook Group setup for the members of the peer support group to join to continue their support of one another until they next meet. If you are interested in joining the veteran’s group.
