About me
Hello, I’m Steve.
I work with people from many walks of life who are facing challenges that can feel confusing, overwhelming, or hard to put into words.
I support:
Individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, trauma, or emotional overwhelm - whether these feelings are linked to recent events, earlier life experiences, or feel hard to explain.
Parents who are under strain because their children are struggling, whether at school, at home, or both.
Adolescents, 16+ who are struggling at school, work, or both.
Managers and leaders at all levels, from first-line management to board level, who are dealing with pressures arising from their role, personal circumstances, or the interaction between the two. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working in interpersonal skills training and personal business coaching. This background helps me understand both personal and professional challenges, and how closely the two are often connected.
In our work together, I offer a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental space. Together we gently explore what’s going on for you, at your pace, using your own curiosity to build insight, practical tools for change, and the resilience to sustain those changes over time.
What I can help with
Stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, work stress or simply providing a thoughtful, understanding space to talk things through with someone who listens.
Types of therapy
I’m an Integrative Counsellor this means I won’t stick to just one way of working. Instead, I’ll use a mix of different approaches and tailor things to suit you.
Everyone’s different, so there’s no one-size-fits-all here. We will work together to figure out what actually helps, rather than following a set formula.
How I work
I offer both face-to-face and online sessions.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
