About me
Hi, I’m Stacey. I support adults who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in self-doubt, or struggling with relationship patterns to make sense of what’s going on and find steadier ground for you.
I offer a calm, supportive space where you don’t have to have the right words or know where to begin.
Working in a person-centred and humanistic way, I place great importance on trust, empathy, and understanding, helping you explore emotions and relationship patterns in a way that feels safe and respectful.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relationship difficulties, and the impact of life changes. Whether you’re dealing with something specific or a general feeling of being overwhelmed, counselling can offer space to pause, reflect, and begin to understand yourself in a deeper way.
Sessions with me are led by you and move at a pace that feels comfortable. I don’t believe in giving advice or telling you what you should do; instead, I support you to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insight into patterns, and develop greater self-trust. My role is to work alongside you as you make sense of your experiences in a way that feels meaningful and manageable.
I provide a warm, approachable counselling service where genuine connection creates a safe and uplifting space for growth and personal understanding and acceptance.
Taking the first step can feel daunting. If you’re considering counselling and would like to explore whether I might be the right fit, you can get in touch to ask questions or to arrange an initial session.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience working with individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, addiction, bereavement and feelings of emotional instability.
My background also includes supporting people in crisis, having worked in both mental crisis support and welfare services. This has given me valuable insight into how difficult life can feel at times and how important it is to feel truly understood and supported.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
