A trusting relationship
We offer a professional and confidential counselling service to those who are struggling to make sense of their emotions and feelings.
These feelings might relate to anxiety, depression, grief, health conditions, stress or a number of other difficult experiences.
We care about the work that we do, and we make sure that the service we offer is right for you and that it is delivered by the right people. We have a team of counsellors, and we will carefully select your therapist to suit you and your needs. This will provide the foundations for your counselling. We take care to listen to your situation and to get to know you as an individual so we can identify the best counsellor to work with you. All of our counsellors have a deep sense of responsibility for the wellbeing of everyone we work with.
We can offer both face-to-face and online sessions.
Call us today to find out how we can help.
Training, qualifications & experience
Our counsellors are either qualified, or in the later stages of professional training. Our counsellors are closely supervised by highly experienced supervisors.
We adhere to the requirements for ethical and professional conduct set by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and we are a BACP accredited service.
Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
