About me

I’m Sophie, a counsellor based in Bristol (and online) with over 15 years’ experience supporting adults through challenges like anxiety, childhood trauma, identity and sexuality questions, and neurodiversity.

My style is warm, flexible, and down-to-earth. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy, I’ll shape our sessions around what works best for you. That might mean structured strategies, space to talk things through, or simply creating a calm place where you can breathe.

I’m LGBTQ+ affirmative, trauma-informed, and committed to inclusive practice. What that really means is: whoever you are, and whatever you bring, you’ll be met with respect and care.

I offer sessions online and in a dedicated therapy room in BS6 and a home therapy room in BS4.

Training, qualifications & experience

FdA Counselling - University of Plymouth

During my training, I undertook placements with Mind's LGBTQ+ counselling service and Heart to Heart's affordable counselling service.

I have worked in mental health settings for over 15 years, including 7 years in an NHS community mental health team. I continue to work part-time in the NHS alongside my private practice, primarily working with individuals who have experienced trauma.
