Sophie Govier-Creative Healing
Hi, I’m Sophie. I offer talk therapy and creative therapy in a peaceful, countryside location. I am a mainly person-centred therapist so sessions are always focussed on what you feel is most important for you to talk through. I also like to bring in different ways of working because all people are different and finding what is most comfortable to you is so important. I am here to be beside you while you work through whatever difficulties you are facing.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an advanced level 5 diploma in counselling and psychotherapy and am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am fully insured.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Areas of counselling I deal with
I offer a free 30 minute consultation on the phone or in person so you can see if I’m the right person for you. After that sessions are £40 for 50 minutes.
If you have any questions please email, call or send a text. Reaching out can be difficult but taking that first step can be the start to understanding and working through your struggles.
