MBACP, Counsellor and Psychotherapist, BA (hons); TC-L4

About me

As an integrative counsellor psychotherapist, I believe that each client is unique. For this reason, I may employ different therapeutic approaches to suit your personal needs.

My aim is to help you explore your feelings, thoughts and emotions and the effect they have on your behaviour and mood. The understanding that counselling brings will help you in times of trouble, distress or confusion. I offer therapy in a warm, safe environment where you will be listened to in a non-judgmental manner.

I speak English and Italian and I can provide therapy in both languages.

How counselling and psychotherapy can help:

I will help you explore the inner conflicts that maintain your psychological difficulties and consider how personal change can take place.

My working model incorporates aspects of humanistic and psychodynamic therapy. Through acceptance and empathic understanding I will enable you to come to terms with negative feelings and develop your inner resources. I will gently encourage you to talk about your past in order to understand how your childhood experiences have shaped who you are today.

I see the therapeutic process as a collaborative one, the two of us working side-by-side to develop a better awareness of yourself and your relationships with others.

Rather than providing you with answers, I will empower you to find your own solutions.

What to expect in your first session:

The initial session is used to establish if we can work together effectively. Whether we decide to continue on a short-term or open-ended basis, we would review your progress regularly.

I am happy to have a no-obligation phone conversation to discuss our potentially working together.

I offer a free of charge initial assessment session (30 minutes).

I can also be accessed by Skype. Skype therapy can offer greater flexibility in terms of session times, and it is ideal for people with busy lives and for people living or travelling abroad.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
