Psychotherapist MBACP (Accred)

About me

I utilize a Person-Centred approach combined with Transpersonal therapy principles. This allows me to integrate various therapeutic modalities to address your unique needs. My mission is to empower clients to live fulfilling lives and achieve their goals by providing a safe, confidential, and supportive environment for exploration and growth.

I am a qualified Psychotherapist who offers a gentle, reassuring service for those who are experiencing difficult emotional issues in their lives.

If you're ready to get more clarity or want to take action call me now or visit my website.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, a trauma-informed practitioner, and a trained Clinical Supervisor.

I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I am also registered with the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO). I hold a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE).

My therapeutic training is person-centred and integrative, with a transpersonal perspective. This means I work with the whole person, not just the difficulty they are bringing. I am interested in your emotional wellbeing, relationships, identity, life experiences, sense of self, and the deeper meaning you may be making from what has happened to you.

I have several years of experience supporting people affected by domestic abuse, trauma, anxiety, grief, loneliness, low self-worth, relationship difficulties and major life transitions. My work is warm, compassionate and grounded in creating a safe, confidential space where you can begin to make sense of what you are carrying.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent over 20 years working in further and higher education, including delivery, management and quality assurance. This gives me a deep understanding of the pressures faced by students, young adults, educators and professionals trying to manage personal difficulties alongside study, work, responsibility and life changes.

Alongside my counselling and psychotherapy work, I have completed Level 6 training in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision. I now offer clinical supervision to counsellors and trainee counsellors, bringing a relational, reflective and anti-oppressive lens to the supervisory space.

Qualifications and additional training
Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy
Level 6 Therapeutic Counselling Supervision
Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling
Trauma-Informed Practice
Working with Women Affected by Domestic Violence
Understanding Anxiety Disorders and Supportive Strategies
Understanding and Managing Loneliness
Bereavement Awareness
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Whatever you are facing, you do not have to hold it all alone. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, but it can also be the beginning of feeling more understood, more grounded and more connected to yourself.

I look forward to working with you.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
