About me

You've reached this page for many reasons, from being diagnosed with a mental health problem to feeling stuck and unable to progress in particular areas of life. I work from the premise that you are an active participant in therapy and hold choice and responsibility in how you want to move forward, whether this includes making sense of, accepting and processing things that have happened to you, or developing existing skills and building new strategies to cope with life's challenges.

Any treatment approach I use (including CBT, DBT-informed skills, CFT or EMDR) is underpinned by a thorough assessment and understanding of you, your hopes and needs. I have particular skills in supporting people who have emotional regulation or interpersonal difficulties, or who have experienced trauma.

Recognising that something needs to be processed or changed is the first step you have already taken in leading a meaningful life. Please contact me to see if I am right person to support you in your journey.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
