About me

Hello my name is Seth as a counsellor energy psychotherapist and mindfulness teacher , I aim to create a safe, comfortable and secure environment where you can talk be heard non-judgmentally and in complete confidence and feel supported.

I use Energy Psychology modalities ( like EFT emotional freedom techniques) and Mindfulness Meditation techniques in my practice to deepen my work with clients to take talking further.

My approach to psychotherapy is an integrative approach mainly using psychodynamic theory and the person centred approach. Integrating my training from Energy Psychology and mindfulness.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified Counsellor and a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP registered member, And an Association for Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques AAMET certified accredited emotional freedom techniques EFT practitioner.I am also a UK network of mindfulness-based teacher training organisations listed teacher.

After completing my training in counselling studies I trained in a wide range of Energy Psychology modalities. I decided to go for accreditation in EFT Emotional Freedom Techniques, but I do use other Energy Psychology modalities I have studied through out my life if I feel it will helpful for my clients. I have also been a mindfulness meditation teacher for over 5 years and have been practicing mindfulness meditation for over 15 years.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

Fees for individual sessions range from £50 to £80 depending on your personal circumstances. Lower fees maybe possible for daytime sessions, and some low fee sessions may be available for people on low incomes or Benefits.

Energy Psychology (EP) modalities have been researched by more than 116 investigators in at least 7 countries. As of 2019, over 116 research studies have been published on EP modalities out of theses only one has not shown efficacy, of theses 51 are Randomised Controlled trails (RTCTs) all are published in peer-Reviewed Journals. several appear in APR and other Prominent journals, Of theses studies are randomised controlled trials, 98% show Energy Psychology methods to be highly effective. There are 5 meta-analyses, and 4 systematic reviews all showing strong effects for Anxiety, PTSD & Depression. 8 comparison Studies with CBT show similar results in fewer sessions. EP methods appear effective for a wide range of conditions. Multiple studies have demonstrated unusually rapid results.
