About me

Help with life's challenges
Acknowledging that you need some help, because something feels wrong inside you, or that life feels too much right now, isn't easy, but it can be a first step toward healing, a new way of seeing things, and the beginning of a lasting change. Counselling can help when you've exhausted your resources to work things out or cope, or when you feel that what is troubling you is too much for people who might normally support you. If you feel like you don't know what to do next, or that you try as you might, you can't move to where you want to be, perhaps I can help.

About me
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work online with people across the UK of different ages and backgrounds, to help with issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, work stress, and bereavement.

Working together
I’ll be your non-judgemental companion and the counselling space you and I create will be where you can be yourself, saying all you need to say, knowing that you are heard. I’ll work to understand what you are struggling with and how this affects you from your point of view. I offer confidential support to help you address immediate concerns, moving towards being more able to cope. Together we’ll work to help you connect with unidentified emotions, and gain new perspectives on what is happening now, or what you’ve been through. Our work will help you to recover your existing abilities and discover new strengths.

Together, we'll create ways to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, acceptance, and balance so you can see ways to grow, that you can continue to develop when you finish with counselling, as you take steps towards where you want to be and who you want to be.

If you think this way of working could be helpful to you, then please use the contact details here to get in touch.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
