About me

I provide a safe and welcoming space for you to explore whatever is troubling you, past or present. It may be strong emotions that feel out of proportion; a problematic relationship or experience; or perhaps a sense of being unsure of who you are or where you are going.

I work in a collaborative, client-led way, helping you to identify your needs and how to get those needs met. My clients often find relief at being able to open up to a neutral person, exploring difficult emotions and situations without fear of judgement.

My particular areas of experience include:

Anxiety and depression: the experience of which is very individual but understanding the meaning behind them can be hugely beneficial in moving forward in your life.

Neurodivergence: Particularly Autism and ADHD. As someone diagnosed later in life, I bring my understanding of the importance in negotiating the world whilst retaining and cultivating your sense of self. I find that my understanding of neurodivergence is helpful and affirming for clients who are used to adapting themselves to the neurotypical world.

Other issues include grief, bereavement, job loss, life transitions and relationship issues. I work affirmatively with trans clients and I also have experience working with disability and chronic illness and can offer an accessible therapy room, subject to availability.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am accredited with the UKCP and a member of the BACP.

Professional qualifications:

  • Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy, Regent's University London, 2022
  • PG Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, Regent's University London, 2016
  • COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate, Glasgow Caledonian University, 2010

In the past, I have worked for Richmond Borough Mind, Camden Mind and the Samaritans.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
