About me
I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years' experience supporting people, directly through therapy and as an accomplished Clinical supervisor.
I work with a range of issues including anxiety, low mood, depression, domestic issues, stress, memory problems, dementia, and more complex and enduring problems.
I work with adults of all ages, with particular expertise working with those in mid and later life stages. When we meet, we will address the issues important to you in a way and at a pace, comfortable for you, whether these stem from past experiences, present challenges, or worries about the future.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist. I have worked at Consultant level for over 25 years and have also been in NHS Clinical Lead roles.
I am trained to work in many different models and draw from a range of approaches. I have learnt that working purely within one model rarely meets people's needs, so my approach is always flexible, tailored to best fit your needs. I also offer sessions to family and friends, supporting those who struggle to access therapy directly themselves.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Further information
People who are older or live with a disability or illness often remain active and independent. It is a reality for others that accessing services in clinics and hospitals is difficult and often stressful. Alongside in-person clinics and online sessions, I can offer therapy within your own home if this would be helpful for you.
