About me
I am a professional qualified counsellor and I have a lovely little private practice where we can connect. I offer counselling in a friendly yet professional environment working with individuals who may just want to feel better or have a specific goal in mind. I appreciate that it takes courage to make the first step and reach out for support, find someone you can trust and connect with. I invite you to get in touch for a no obligation 30 minute chat to see how we could work together. I am open to questions and I will do all I can to put you at ease.
It is my belief and experience that you will get more out of your life if you are willing to change. Change is spurred by a feeling that something just isn't quite right, that something could be better, that there's an issue you want to resolve. Let's work together in discovering the world around you and finding your place in it

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Let me answer some typical questions you may have.
How do I start counselling?
The first step is to phone for a no obligation chat and if you are happy to proceed we can book an initial consultation. The initial free of charge, 30 minute assessment will give you the opportunity to know if counselling is right for you, without any further obligation for you to continue.
What can I expect in a counselling session?
At the initial consultation, I will take a brief history of what is going on for you physically and psychologically and discuss what you want to achieve from Therapy and how best we can achieve this together. There is no typical session, as we are all unique individuals, therefore it is a space and time for you to share your thoughts and feelings.
