About me

I am a professional qualified counsellor and I have a lovely little private practice where we can connect. I offer counselling in a friendly, and professional environment working with individuals who may just want to feel better or have a specific goal in mind. I appreciate that it takes courage to make the first step and reach out for support, find someone you can trust and connect with. I invite you to get in touch for a no obligation 30 minute chat to see how we could work together. I am open to questions and I will do all I can to put you at ease.

It is my belief and experience that you will get more out of your life if you are willing to change. Change is spurred by a feeling that something just isn't quite right, that something could be better, that there's an issue you want to resolve. Let's work together in discovering the world around you and finding your place in it

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

Let me answer some typical questions you may have.

How do I start counselling?

The first step is to phone for a no obligation chat and if you are happy to proceed we can book an initial consultation.  The initial free of charge, 30 minute consultation will give you the opportunity to know if counselling is right for you, without any further obligation for you to continue.

Weekend and Evening appointments can also be arranged.

What can I expect in a counselling session?

At the initial consultation, I will take a brief history of what is going on for you physically and psychologically and discuss what you want to achieve from Therapy  and how  best we can achieve this together.  There is no typical session, as we are all unique individuals, therefore it is a space and time for you to share your thoughts and feelings.
