About me

I know reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. Maybe you’re here because you want to feel more confident in yourself, to quiet that inner critic, or to reconnect with a sense of self-compassion that’s been missing for a while. Maybe you’re noticing patterns in your relationships that you’d like to understand and change. Or perhaps you can’t quite put your finger on it you just know something inside you is asking for care, for space, for something to shift.

With empathic, creative, and trauma-informed support, I help you nurture self-compassion, build confidence, and reconnect with yourself. Gentle guidance, breathwork, and tailored approaches create a safe space for reflection, healing, and growth. I know everyone is unique, and that is why our journey together will be suited to your own personal needs.

Begin your journey toward self-compassion, confidence and more rewarding relationships in a safe, compassionate, trauma-informed space. Together, we can explore, heal, and reconnect with yourself at your own pace. You're welcome to get in touch whenever it feels right.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I have worked with The Turning Point Counselling Service in Brighouse, initially as a trainee counsellor and as a qualified practitioner. During this time, I have supported clients with a wide range of issues, including coercive control, anxiety, trauma and depression.

I also hold a BA (Hons) degree in an arts-related field, which influences my work by encouraging creativity and offering clients alternative, imaginative ways to explore their thoughts and feelings.

Alongside my counselling work, I bring nearly twenty years of experience supporting individuals within the community, working with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
