About me

Come for a walk with me.

Hey, my name is Ryan and I'm a qualified MBACP registered therapist who works solely outdoors, offering Person-Centred Walk and Talk therapy for men around the beautiful scenery of Ely.

Mens mental health is worryingly under-represented, misunderstood, and often just ignored. I want to support as many men as I can, help to nurture their inner monologue and support them in finally being able to be open and honest about what it's like being them. A supportive presence walking side by side can be enough to change your whole perspective.

We all know how beneficial walking can be for us, both psychologically and physiologically and the same is true for therapy, so the power of both blended into one cannot be understated. Walking in nature is a cleansing experience which allows you to let go of stresses, even if only for an hour, whilst therapy is often an explorative experience which allows you to delve into many aspects of your life which is why the combination of both is so potent. This is especially true when you learn to embrace what the world throws at you, which is why sessions with me continue in rain or shine.

If you don't like being cooped up all day, the idea of sitting still for 50 minutes makes you itch or maybe you just like being outside doing something physical, then come for a walk with me.

I'll see you soon.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
