About me

I am a warm and down-to-earth counsellor specialising in bereavement and loss. I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever you're feeling or experiencing, knowing you will be listened to with care and respect. I do not believe grief or difficult feelings need to be “fixed”. Instead, I work with you at a pace that feels right for you, helping you make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

Alongside bereavement and loss, I support people experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and difficulties in relationships, family life, or work. My approach is open, honest, and compassionate, with a strong focus on building a trusting relationship so that you feel understood and supported. I draw on different counselling approaches and adapt the way I work to suit your individual needs.

I adhere to the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, which means I follow professional standards around confidentiality and safety, always keeping your best interests at the centre of our work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (membership no. 01019164).

I am a fully qualified counsellor, holding a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB), along with Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Counselling Skills.

I currently volunteer as a counsellor at The Shakespeare Hospice, which continues to shape my caring, compassionate, and empathetic approach to my work.

I also volunteered with Age UK Coventry & Warwickshire during my diploma training, which provided valuable experience supporting older adults in a counselling setting.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
