About me
I am Becky, a professional counsellor with a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, alongside training in NLP, hypnosis, and suicide first aid. I work with young people and adults, focusing on areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, and self-esteem.
My practice is rooted in a pluralistic approach, tailoring therapy to the unique needs of each individual. I believe counselling is not about what I can do for you, but about walking alongside you as you discover your own strengths and resources. My goal is to help you feel empowered, supported, and back in control, steering your own ship on your journey of change.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
- Suicide First Aid Training
I also hold specialist training in hypnosis and have developed my skills through ongoing professional development.
Alongside my private practice, I have been a volunteer counsellor at a local hospice for several years, supporting individuals and families through grief, loss, and life-limiting illness. I also work as a school counsellor, offering emotional support to young people navigating challenges such as anxiety, self-esteem, and personal identity.
These varied experiences have given me the privilege of working with clients of different ages and backgrounds, each with unique needs. My pluralistic approach allows me to draw on different therapeutic methods, tailoring each session to what works best for the individual.
