About me
Are you struggling with a relationship? Or feeling anxious or depressed? Then I can help.
Anxiety and depression can be debilitating and life limiting, and the quality of our personal relationships can influence the quality of our day to day lives. Counselling can help you to identify triggers, develop healthier coping strategies and help you to manage negative thought patterns.
It can also improve personal relationships by enhancing communication skills, increasing emotional awareness and helping individuals understand their own needs and boundaries. It allows you to explore patterns that may be causing conflict and develop healthier ways of interacting with others.
Benefits you may experience from counselling:
- Explore issues in a non-judgemental, safe environment
- Move from a position of ‘stuckness’ to increased freedom and self-expression
- Uncover unconscious processes that may be blocking you
- Understand your values and what makes you happy
- Process past hurt and grief
- Improve relationships with yourself and others
- Spend time focusing on you
I am a fully qualified Therapeutic Counsellor and a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
I use an integrative approach, encompassing both Person-centred and Psychodynamic counselling theories. Which means I will help you to explore your feelings and make positive changes in your own way and at you own pace. Including how past experiences may be affecting your current thoughts, feelings and behaviour. I recognise the unique nature of each individual and tailor my approach depending on each client’s needs.
Overall by providing an environment of warmth, acceptance and openness - I have found healing, maturation and change is possible.
I can also help with:
Anxiety; Depression; Work issues; Building confidence; Finding direction; Panic attacks; Rediscovering yourself; Grief, loss & bereavement; Relationship issues; Stress.
I work with individuals that are over 18 years of age and I am happy to have a 15 minute telephone consultation to check I am the right therapist for you.
Overall I am passionate about supporting the growth of individuals and look forward to working alongside you to fulfil your goals.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
