About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed by a health challenge, or struggling with life or transitions?
I am Dr Rebecca Anthony, a Clinical Psychologist with over 8 years of specialist experience in the NHS. I understand that when your physical health or mental well-being feels under threat, life can quickly feel "stuck." Whether you are navigating the shock of a new medical diagnosis, managing chronic pain, or find yourself caught in cycles of anxiety and depression, I am here to help you find a way forward.
How can I help you? I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I work collaboratively with you to create a shared "map" of what is happening. My goal is to help you move from a place of distress or "survival mode" back toward a life that feels meaningful and under your control.
I specialise in:
Health Psychology: Support for Health anxiety, chronic illness, and health-related trauma.
Emotional Well-being: Expert help for Generalised health anxiety, Depression, low self- confidence and self-criticism.
Neurodiversity: Affirming support for ADHD and Autistic adults.
My Approach as a Clinical Psychologist, I integrate evidence-based therapies tailored to you, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT, and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). My approach is warm, professional, and deeply rooted in empathy.
Getting Started: Choosing a therapist is a big decision. I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation via phone or video to see if we are a good fit. I offer sessions in person at the Wellbeing Rooms in Bearsden, The Loft in Clarkston or securely online.
