About me

I am a qualified integrative Counsellor and a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT).

Our initial session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You will talk about your concerns, experience, expectation and your goal for therapy.              I will explain how we will collaboratively work to meet your goal for therapy.

I consider the relationship between the counsellor/therapist is essential and the key to the therapeutic process. I aim to work together to support and offer you a safe, confidential, understanding and non-judgemental space where you will feel comfortable to explore your concerns in your own pace.

Training, qualifications & experience

BACP Registered Counsellor/Psychotherapist

BA (Hons) Integrative counsellor

Postgraduate Diploma degree in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

My vision is that everyone has the ability to overcome their issues if they are ready and have the right support at the right time.

I offer short-term therapy: typically 6 or 12 sessions and open-ended/long-term (depth work) interventions to one-to-one adults and older adolescents in person and online. I also offer national and international therapy in English and French via Skype and Zoom.

I'm interested in sexual orientation and gender identity issues, race, racism and relationships.

I have experience of working with adults of all ages and diverse backgrounds, sexual preference as well as disability, and with a variety of mental health problems: Depression and Anxiety Disorder such as Panic Disorder, Health Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, General Anxiety Disorders, Anger, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Collaboratively we will explore your difficulties to help you find the roots that cause the problem. I use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to explore the origin of unhealthy thoughts to help you to develop a new way of thinking.

Also, I use an integrative approach to counselling, including Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) and Psychodynamic, to assist individuals in overcoming their issues.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
