About me
I am a qualified integrative Counsellor and Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT).
Our initial session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other. Then, you will talk about your concerns, experience, expectations, and goals for therapy. Then, I will explain how we will collaboratively work to meet your goal for treatment.
I consider the relationship between the counsellor/therapist to be essential and the key to the therapeutic process. I aim to work together to support and offer you a safe, confidential, understanding and non-judgemental space where you will feel comfortable exploring your concerns at your own pace.
Training, qualifications & experience
BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist
BA (Hons) Integrative counsellor
MSc in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
My vision is that everyone has the ability to overcome their issues if they are ready and have the right support at the right time.
I offer short-term therapy: typically 6 or 12 sessions and open-ended/long-term (depth work) interventions to one-to-one adults and older adolescents in person and online. I also offer national and international therapy in English and French via Skype and Zoom.
I'm interested in sexual orientation and gender identity issues, race, racism and relationships.
I have experience working with adults of all ages and diverse backgrounds, with sexual preferences as well as disabilities, and with a variety of mental health problems: Depression and Anxiety Disorders such as Panic Disorder, Health Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, General Anxiety Disorders, Anger, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Collaboratively we will explore your difficulties to help you find the roots that cause the problem. For example, I use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to explore the origin of unhealthy thoughts and help you develop a new way of thinking.
Also, I use an integrative approach to counselling, including Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) and Psychodynamic, to assist individuals in overcoming their issues.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
