About me
Working as an experienced and qualified Counsellor, Supervisor and Mediator; I provide a confidential counselling service and professional support for teenagers, adults and couples experiencing problems including:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Trauma
- Addiction
- Self Harm
- Anger Management
- Bereavement
- Low self-esteem
- Relationships
- Work related issues (Stress) etc.
My counselling experience and qualifications enable me to effectively integrate my work by applying a Person Centred Approach and/or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) dependent on which therapy is best suited to meet your needs. We may also include additional therapies such as EMDR, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness if we find it helpful in our work together.
I also offer individual and group Supervision to students and qualified counsellors which is a requirement by governing bodies for registration and in compliance with their ethical practice. Supervision offers counsellors opportunity to reflect their work whilst providing them with support and guidance to their practice, ensuring they are working in compliance of their ethical framework.
As well as counselling and supervision I also offer Mediation services, working with parties in disagreement which can be a successful grievance resolution process. It is a proactive service that offers support when relationships reach crisis and can be a beneficial service to any relationship experiencing difficulties. It offers you the space and time to work through your problems with the aim of developing mutual understanding and acceptance of each others needs.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
