About me
I am an experienced and fully accredited counsellor and psychotherapist (CTA) with an MSc from the Metanoia Institute. I have worked for a number of years in the charity sector and also have a private practice in Billericay, Essex working with individuals of all cultures, faiths and sexualities both short and long term.
I am a registered counsellor and psychotherapist with AVIVA and Vitality Health so can accept referrals via your insurer.
I practice Transactional Analysis, an integrative approach in the humanistic tradition. Each client will have their own personal treatment plan which provides a structured and focused way to address their thought processes to help understand inner conflicts and find new ways to alleviate and deal with distress. I have a particular interest in 'Relational' therapy; a way of exploring difficult, repetitive inter-personal experiences and options for change.
My practice in Billericay is within easy reach of Billericay railway station and the 100 bus stop, providing easy links to Shenfield, Brentwood, Stock, Ingatestone, Chelmsford, Basildon, Wickford, Brentwood and the wider Essex area. If you are driving, the practice is with-in 15 minutes drive of Basildon, Chelmsford and Brentwood. Private parking is provided on site.
As a registered member of UKCP, EATA, IARTA and Metanoia I abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
