About me

Hello I’m Paris,

[I am currently on maternity leave so I am unable to take on any new clients. I hope to return to work shortly and I will update my advertisement accordingly. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to my return to work.]

Throughout my life and experiences in the mental health and counselling industry, I have realised how useful and important having support can be. You could be in and out of your GP’s with depression or anxiety or other related issues; or you may just be experiencing a feeling of fluctuating frustration/depression/anxiety or confusion with your state of mind. Your life and your feelings don’t make any sense to you anymore; you don’t know if you can cope with thing’s the way they are for much longer. You don’t know who you can trust enough to talk to about these difficult feelings and you feel alone in your struggle. This is often where the search for a counsellor begins.

When you seek out counselling, you are no longer alone!

Before beginning my own private practice I worked with patients in a mental health hospital, I was a bereavement counsellor and I've counselled children in a school. All of this experience and my genuine and empathetic nature as a person all contribute to how hard I work to be a good counsellor and to provide my clients with the support they deserve and need.

The opportunity to build a trusting, supportive, non-judgemental relationship with a person who is impartial, experienced and qualified in counselling is such a great opportunity for someone who desires positive change in their life. Please do not hesitate to get in touch and we can discuss the next step toward a better life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
