About me

Hi,

Thankyou for taking the time to look at my profile.

I am interested in hearing your story. Together, we can discuss and process your emotions and difficulties---discuss how to cope better. Asking for help, when you are feeling "Low", can be difficult. But reaching out for support is a sign of "Strength and desire to Feel Better".

I am here to support you, listen to what feels important to you. I can help you to build confidence and Self Esteem. Our sessions will help you to manage your "Stress, Anxiety and Low Mood".

I offer a warm, supportive and confidential space, where you can talk openly about what may be on your mind. My approach is Person Centred, with elements of Integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and I work at your pace, focusing on what feels important to you.

Reaching out for support isn't always easy. You may feel unsure, worried or even hesitant about starting Counselling. That's completely understandable--but you don't have to face things alone.  Talking things through can help you make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and find new ways to cope.

Before training as a counsellor, I worked for several years as Social Worker in the NHS. This experience has helped me develop a deep sense of empathy, alongside strong communication skills. I also have a good understanding of how cultural factors can affect mental health, and I aim to provide a space where you feel understood and respected.

I work under regular supervision with BACP registered supervisor and offer sessions Face-to-Face, on-lone, or by telephone.

I have good understanding of diverse cultural issues, and can offer help to resolve any concerns related to such matters.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
