About me
Hello, I'm Nia :)- I’m glad you found your way here.
I understand that taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when life’s challenges have left you feeling uncertain or stuck. My role as an Integrative therapist is to offer you a space where you can breathe, reflect, and begin the process these echoes. I’m here to walk with you on this journey, helping you to make sense of the struggles you’re facing and to uncover the resilience that’s already within you.
In our work together, my priority is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable expressing your authentic self. Therapy is about more than just addressing problems—it’s about helping you reconnect with your true self and introducing you to all the tools to help take a pause, process and reflect on your experiences to further gain clarity.
I’m currently based in Birmingham, UK. Although my roots are from India. I’m proud to be a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), adhering to their ethical standards to ensure a high level of care. My professional background includes years of experience with the National Health Service (NHS) and The Psychotherapy Room in Derby, UK, where I worked with individuals from all walks of life.
With a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Derby, I bring an eclectic approach to my practice. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution—each person’s experience is unique, and so too is the therapy that supports them.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients through a wide range of challenges: from trauma and abuse to mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, as well as grief, eating disorders, and self-esteem issues. I understand that each of these challenges leaves echoes—sometimes quiet, sometimes loud—shaping how we view ourselves and navigate the world.
My role is not to provide easy answers but to guide you in reflecting on these echoes and making sense of them in a way that brings insight and, ultimately, peace. Therapy with me is a journey of exploration, not a destination. It’s about creating a space where you can feel safe to pause, look inward, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been buried under the noise of life.

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy - Registered Member
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

What to Expect...
If we decide to work together, we’ll agree on a regular time for our sessions. In the first session, We’ll gather some information, and we’ll explore your background and what’s brought you to therapy. You might want to set some goals for us to work towards, or you may prefer a more open, relaxed space where you can just be yourself, away from the pressures of daily life. I strictly follow the BACP guidelines to ensure your confidentiality is always protected.
In the following sessions we could create a psychological formulation, a way to map out your experiences so you can better understand what’s going on beneath the surface. This will give us a clearer picture of how to move forward and help you develop healthier ways to cope with challenges.
Therapy is about building self-awareness, but also about fostering self-compassion and resilience. I’m here to guide and support you through this process, offering insights and tools that empower you to live with greater emotional clarity and confidence.
