About me

I am a down to earth counsellor who is passionate about supporting people overcome their personal difficulties by listening without judgement and creating an environment where we can explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours together. Life can be tough and counselling is a way of giving you a new perspective on things. What do you want for yourself and what is stopping you from getting there? I am here to sit beside you however you show up whether that's angry, sad, hurt or depressed. I believe that all emotions are welcome in the room, including laughter.

I work using both talk therapy and focusing on the body's role in our emotional and psychological processes. Sometimes when we have experience trauma we hold this in the body and there are many ways of working with the nervous system to create ease in your healing process. You can release stored trauma and develop a healthier mind and body connection.

How we work together will be decided between us because every person is different and what makes sense to you is what's important.

Counselling is not an easy journey but I believe it’s a gift to yourself for a better future. I look forward to hearing from you and please get in touch with any questions you may have.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
