About me

I am a very down to earth, integrative counsellor, who is passionate about supporting people overcome their personal difficulties by listening without judgement and creating a safe environment in which to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Life can be tough and counselling is a way of giving us a new perspective on things. Each person is different and together we will find our own way of working together.

I work with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief and loss, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties and alcohol addiction. I use talk therapy and I also work somatically which means focusing on the body's role in our emotional and psychological processes. Sometimes when we have experience trauma we hold this in the body and there are many ways of working with the nervous system to create ease in your healing process. You can release stored trauma and develop a healthier mind and body connection. I am here to sit with you and support you to find the answers inside you so you can live a better life. Counselling is not an easy journey but it’s a gift to yourself and there’s no better time than right now. I look forward to hearing from you.

clients can develop a greater sense of awar allow you to identify the connection to your past experiences and traumas. Using both talk therapy and somatic practises clients can have a deeper understanding of their feelings and emotions and healing and transformation can take place.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
